UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School will host its ninth annual Carolina Women in Business Conference on Nov. 7.

The conference is organized by Carolina Women in Business, an MBA club. It is a forum to connect, learn and share insights about developing, empowering and advancing women leaders in business. This year’s theme is “Next-generation business equality: Moving beyond the ‘what is’ to the ‘what could be.’” The event is open to students, faculty, staff and the business community.

Chancellor Carol L. Folt will share a welcome message at 9 a.m., and two keynote addresses will be given during the day.

The morning keynote speaker will be Claire Leonardi, CEO of Connecticut Innovations. Leonardi, who will speak at 9:15 a.m., manages Connecticut Innovations’ business startup and growth initiatives.

Michele Buck, president North America at The Hershey Company, will give the afternoon keynote address at 3:30 p.m. Buck is responsible for leading the company’s businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

The conference will also include workshops and speaker panels. Both keynote addresses, as well as the rest of the day’s events, will be held in the McColl building at UNC Kenan-Flagler.
