Imagine yourself running onto the Smith Center court, going through pre-game warm-ups with the UNC men’s basketball team, hitting layups and slapping hands with your teammates.
You can experience all of that and more by watching videos from a Google Glass worn by hoopsters Wade Moody and Brice Johnson, team personnel, announcer and UNC great Eric Montross, play-by-play man Jones Angell, cheerleaders and some students in the risers close to the court.
The Google Glass videos include:
- pre-game ritual, court entrance and warm-up (see video below)
- shoot-around with Johnson hitting threes and dunking
- view from a high-perching cheerleader’s perspective
The videos were made during the Tar Heels’ 75-71 win over Pittsburgh on Feb. 15, when the Athletic Department hosted Social Media Saturday.
