What do you love most about Carolina? Sunny afternoons in Polk Place? A favorite professor? The lifelong friends you’ve made here?

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, the Office of University Development is hosting a #LoveCarolina campaign and wants to hear why you love UNC-Chapel Hill. Between Feb. 1-14, share your favorite memory, a picture of your favorite place on campus or make a donation. A random participant will be selected on Valentine’s Day to win a Carolina pride gift basket.

There are several ways to participate. Here are a few:

  1. Tweet @carolinadevelop or write on Carolina Development’s Facebook wall about why you love UNC-Chapel Hill, using #LoveCarolina. Or, share your favorite UNC picture on Instagram and tag @CarolinaDevelopment.
  2. Want to do a little more? Print off the #LoveCarolina sign here and take a picture of yourself at your favorite place on campus holding the sign. Share the picture on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and say why you #LoveCarolina.
  3. Not on social media? E-mail annualfund@unc.edu with the picture or comments about why you love Carolina. Put #LoveCarolina in the subject line.
  4. Make a gift to UNC in honor of your Valentine! Did you know the average person spends $130.97 on Valentine’s Day? University Development is inviting you to replace the money spent on a Valentine’s Day card or candy and make a gift to an area on campus that means the most to you or your loved one. Upon request, any person who makes a gift between Feb. 1-14 can have a Carolinagram sent to a loved one. Simply go online to annualfund.unc.edu/gift to make a gift, and then send an email to molly_perdue@unc.edu with the name and e-mail address of the loved one you want to send the Carolinagram to. All Carolinagrams will be sent by e-mail on Friday, Feb. 14.

University Development will share its favorite posts on its social media accounts.
