Smith starts  today (Wednesday) and Thursday, with meetings with various student groups and administrators. The following meetings are directed to the groups listed, but anyone may attend.

On Wednesday, Smith will meet with:

These meetings begin an intensive period of education and engagement on the issue of sexual assault to be coordinated by Smith, a former prosecutor, educator and consultant who has guided several institutions on issues related to their handling of sexual assault complaints.

In conjunction with Smith’s visit, Carolina has launched a website, Campus Conversation on Sexual Assault, that includes information about policy, schedules for meetings and educational programming and a checklist for next steps. An electronic suggestion box on the site allows anyone to submit ideas to the core team working on implementation.
