A day after her installation as chancellor, Carol Folt relaxed and celebrated with students at an event held in her honor.
Folt attended Folt Fest, a student-only celebration, in the Student Union on Sunday. Folt is proving to be wildly popular with students, who turned out in throngs to attend the event that featured bands, a photo booth and carnival food, such as candy apples, popcorn and cotton candy.
Folt was installed as Carolina’s 11th chancellor on Saturday during the University Day celebration on UNC-Chapel Hill’s 220th birthday.
Folt Fest was presented by the Order of the Bell Tower, Carolina Union Activities Board, the Executive Branch of Student Government and the UNC Student Alumni Association.
