Photography by UNC students, faculty, staff and alumni is on display during the Carolina Global Photography exhibition in the FedEx Global Education Center through April 14, 2012.

The amateur photography represents many places and many themes.

Take in the majesty of Mount Everest, joy of friendship among Indian women, beauty of a leopard ready to pounce, and resourcefulness of children in Bangladesh. These images capture common links of humanity and draw attention to subjects often neglected by conventional media.

All photography on display was submitted as part of the Carolina Global Photography Competition Fall 2011. The winners of the contest will be announced at the public opening reception on January 18 at 5 p.m. in the center.

This exhibit is hosted by the UNC Center for Global Initiatives, UNC Study Abroad, and UNC Global.
