The early voting period for the November general election begins Thursday, Oct. 23.
The deadline to register for the November general election has passed, but all voters who are already registered can visit early voting sites in their counties.
If you are registered to vote in Orange County, there are five early voting sites. The closest site to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus is at NC Hillel, located at 210 West Cameron Avenue, behind Granville Towers. The site is an easy walk from campus, and parking will be available on the street and behind the building.
Early voting will be available at NC Hillel at the following dates and times:
- Thursday, Oct. 23 – Noon to 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 24 – Noon to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 25 – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Monday, Oct 27 through Thursday, Oct. 30 – Noon to 7 p.m.
- Friday, Oct. 31 – Noon to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 1 – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The other Orange County early voting sites are the Carrboro Town Hall, the Seymour Senior Center, the Master’s Garden Preschool and the Board of Elections Office.
Orange County voters who cast their ballots during the early period can do so at any of the five sites. Voters who wait until Election Day, Nov. 4, will need to vote in the precinct in which they are registered.
For more information on voter registration and statewide early voting sites, visit the N.C. Board of Elections website. Information about the hours for all Orange County early voting sites is available on the Orange County Board of Elections website.
